Important things in life

I've learned two things about myself in the past couple weeks.

1. I don't seem to be passionate about anything.
2. I don't have a best friend.

I don't think either of these are good things.

Could you become passionate about getting a best friend? That would solve both problems.

But then if I had a best friend I couldn't be passionate about it any longer. Maybe i could be passionate about being passionate...and my best friend could be my passion. YES!

That sounds kind of... well... uh... gay.

Hmmm...

Maybe make your best friend a woman, then marry her. Before you do that, you could add non-marriage as being a 3rd problem, then you solve it right away. It's kind of like when you make a list of things to do and you include on it things that you just did and cross them off as you write them.

Or you could also be passionate about not getting a best friend.

Otherwise, if it involves no commitment of any sort, you can call me your best friend who you know only through blogs. However, I will probably deny our relationship if someone were to ever ask as it is uncool to be friends with people who are 1. passionless and 2. have no best friends.

i hope this comment doesn't depress you but makes you happy.

Chen, you've been my best friend for like 4 years....but for the last 6 months or so I thought you were dead or something. Now I'm goin to go check your blog to see if you really are alive. Your roommate Laura is the one who made me realize how lonely I am. Thank her for that.
